Northeast Husky’s Spring
Spin/Upset Training Course
Reserve your Position Now
Be sure to leave your schedule open this Spring for a once in a lifetime opportunity to fly with International Aerobatic Club Hall of Fame Inductee, Bill Finagin in his personal Aviat Pitts S-2C.
Admit it or not, we have all thought of the “what if” aspects of flying and for most of us, knowing how to recover from a deep spin or inverted flat spin is not at the top of our skill set. The truth is, there are positive and easily learned responses that will take the fear of the unknown away and assure you that it the worst were to happen, you have the training to control the situation.

If you are not a member of the IAC or do not follow the world of Aerobatics, Bill is a one of the most accomplished pilots you will ever have the chance to fly with. The Aviat Pitts dealer for the US since the early 1980's, Bill is also a retired Two Star Admiral and, if that isn’t enough, a MD as well. Just to meet Bill is an outstanding day but to receive dual training and have his signature in your logbook once you have completed our course will be a lasting memory of flying with one of the greatest.
The course will include a MANDATORY ground school and will cover all aspects of recovery from spins and unusual attitudes such as upright flat spins, inverted flat spins and any other “upset” you could ever encounter while flying.
Once you have completed the ground school you will then apply what you have been taught and take to the sky in Bill’s S-2C, the newest and most powerful Aviat Pitts that the factory offers .With you at the controls as Bill takes you through all the recoveries that had been covered on the ground, you will be able to put what you have learned into practice and come away with a level of personal assurance that you are now prepared for any situation you may encounter.
This training course is not a mere discussion of the hypothetical control inputs needed to recover from “upsets” but a true combination of ground and flight training that takes you from the classroom into the actual environment of recovering from whatever “what if” aeronautical misadventure you could imagine. |

Location - Laconia Municipal Airport (KLCI)
Date - Late April- Early May 2010- will be determined by February 1, 2010
Details - The course is limited to 10 (ten) slots and will be on a first come basis. The ground school will be held Saturday morning and all that sign up must attend or forgo the flight instruction portion of the training.
Individual training will commence after the ground school. As time will not allow for all 10 attendees to fly in one day, the flight training portion will be continued on Sunday. We anticipate about half the attendees will complete the training on Saturday, and the order of flight assignments will be determined by the order in which pilots have signed up for the class. We will also discuss individual schedules with all that sign up to determine if we can accommodate people that may require a one day course.
Local lodging is available for those that will have the Sunday training but is NOT included in the $550.00 course fee.
Your payment of the course fee must be included with your course registration. If you are unable to attend, a full rebate will be offered until March 15, 2010, if Northeast Husky can fill your slot.
Once the cancelled slot is confirmed and paid by another attendee, your rebate will be issued. Any cancellations after March 15, 2010 will result in forfeiture of the entire course fee.
As an added feature Northeast Husky will also be providing other classes and flight adventures during the weekend that may entice you to stay the entire weekend regardless of your flight training schedule.
If you fly in with your own Husky, you can join us as we take on a guided flight to several remote grass strips in the White Mts of New Hampshire. If your bird is not up to “Husky terrain” we will get you a seat in one of our Husky’s or try to get you on board with another pilot.
If you would like to get your biennial flight review accomplished during this weekend, we can also arrange that for you as well.
To sign up for the course, please e-mail us at northeasthusky@aol.com
and we will mail you out a course registration form with the schedule and all other information enclosed. Be advised, we already have slots filled, so an early response will assure your reservation.
